Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw was founded durring the late 11th century, by Joidä̂ Vú̄̋chvē 'Trigress Femme' Mboīy Vúnḱ Cú̄rmë̋ Erméchīb Vú̄̄b. The establishment of Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Joidä̂ Vú̄̋chvē 'Trigress Femme' Mboīy Vúnḱ Cú̄rmë̋ Erméchīb Vú̄̄b struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw as a prison colony.
Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw is was constructed arround several crampt baked earthen mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw's budget focused millitary grade defenses has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.
A look around Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Religious leaders are influential in almost any community, but in Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw they make up the final authorities. It may be an explicit theocracy, with rule by the clerics of a particular faith, or a temple might be so important and powerful that the official leaders are helpless to resist its will. The locals can be expected to be loyal adherents to the faith, or else the less pious majority is deeply intimidated by the religion’s believers.
Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw lost 196 people, 150 livestock, and 24 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 43, when members of Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw's militia enacted an operation to break a siege of a particular bridge. The operation was complicated by a trusted officer who turned traitor and defects. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in defeat for Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Yēmaē̂ Côrē Nêōw's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
